Top 5 tips to secure a placement
- Seek support from your Placement Advisers: we can offer appointment to help with finding placements; review your CV; conduct mock interviews and offer employability advice.
- Attend our workshops. The Careers and Employability team put on regularly workshops, online and F2F, which cover a range of support for employability skills. (CV help, Interview advice, LinkedIn support) These can be found on our event calendar.
- Check various job boards regularly! New roles are posted weekly and on different sites. Make sure you often check sites such as CareerLinc, Prospect and HigherIn.
- Speculatively approach employers. Delve into the hidden job market and approach employers yourself; they may not have a placement advertised but would be willing to offer one to the right person. If you want support on speculative approaches, book an appointment with us.
