Event Navigation
Many students don’t identify with the word ‘disabled’ but may still be entitled to support and protection under the Equality Act (2010). Are you an undergraduate student who has experienced a physical or mental impairment, or a mental health condition for longer than 12 months? If so, we want to learn about your experiences of using the Careers & Employability Service by taking part in our upcoming focus group.
Why attend?
- Improve your consulting skills by offering information and advice to the University
- Enhance our services and ensure the support meets your needs
- Hear from a TEDx Speaker about their experiences and reflect on how you view your health condition or disability
- Receive a £10 Love2Shop voucher for your participation
This focus group is only open to undergraduate students with a disability, long term health condition, mental health condition, or chronic illness. For this focus group, the Equality Act 2010 definition of disability is being used: ‘You are disabled under the Equality Act (2010) if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative impact on your ability to do normal daily activities.
