Join the MSc Forensic Psychology teaching team at the University of Lincoln to hear more about careers in Forensic Psychology. We will be speaking about the routes into qualification as a Forensic Psychologist, including an overview of the MSc Forensic Psychology course we offer at Lincoln. We will also hear from invited guests who have left the University and moved into forensic psychology related careers. Our guests will tell you about their current positions and how they prepared to increase their chance of success of securing their roles
Agenda-
18:00-18:05: Rachael Dagnall to open event and introduce our speakers.
18:05-18:20: Rachael Dagnall to provide a brief overview of the MSc Forensic Psychology programme (Stage 1) and the BPS Qualification in Forensic Psychology (Stage 2)
18:20-18:30: Courtney Ferguson will speak about her role as an Interventions Facilitator (IF) at HMPPS (HMP Moorland) and how she prepared her application.
18:30-18:40: Madelyn Dell to talk about her role as a Forensic Psychologist in Training (FPiT) working with young people at Horizon and her recent start on the BPS Qualification in Forensic Psychology (Stage 2)
18:40-18:50: Jazz Jandu to talk about her role as an Assistant Psychologist working for a private hospital in a low secure service. Jazz will also speak about her recent engagement with the PgDip Forensic Psychology course at Manchester Metropolitan University.
18:50-19:00: Max Nesbit will speak about his role as a Registered Forensic Psychologist at HMPPS (HMP Whatton)
19:00-19:15: Barry Lloyd to talk about his current role at Rampton Hospital as a trainee psychologist working specifically with the measurement of deviant sexual interest. Barry will also talk on his current engagement with the Cardiff Route to qualification as a Forensic Psychologist.
19:15-19:25: Prachi Mohnet to talk about her role working for RDaSH as a Trainee Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner
19:25-19:35: Ana Da Silva to talk about her role as a liaison and diversion practitioner and her current secondment as a forensic mental health practitioner at Lambeth Probation Delivery Unit (PDU).
19:35-19:45: Xanthe Tunley-Stainton to talk about her current role as a Grant Operations Officer with Global Fund for Women. Xanthe will speak about her role working with women-led grassroots charities working on women’s rights and gender equality.
