Learn about Teacher Training in Lincolnshire Drop In Session – Careers Centre

An informal drop in open to all students to come and informally meet the Lincolnshire SCITT (a partnership of schools across Lincolnshire and the surrounding area to deliver a School Centred Initial Teacher Training) and find out about a career in teaching. Whether you are still completely undecided on what you might do when you finish university or if teaching is the career for you then come along to the careers centre and chat with one of the SCITT team, this is especially recommended to those looking to build a graduate career in and around Lincolnshire.

Students can come to the Careers Centre and have an informal and friendly 1:1 chat with a SCITT colleague at any time during this drop in slot.

Here are some ideas of what information you could find out:

• What subject courses are they currently recruiting teachers for
• Information & support on the application process and deadline dates
• What does teacher training involve
• What are the benefits of becoming a teacher
• What skills are needed to be a successful teacher
• What does the career progression look like for a teacher

The Drop in will take place between 10 – 12pm in the Careers Centre in the Library, feel free to turn up and drop in at point during this time. Please be advised that you may have to wait for a couple of minutes if the SCITT representative is finishing up with another student. We would advise coming before 11:45am latest to be guaranteed a slot.
