Neurodiversity in the workplace: My Personal Journey

Join us for this online regional event to mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week (17th-23rd March) where students and graduates can hear from our three speakers who will their share their own personal experiences and stories, offering valuable insights into how neurodiversity has shaped their own professional pathways.

This webinar aims to foster a deeper understanding of neurodiversity in the workplace and inspire others to recognise and celebrate the diverse talents that neurodiverse individuals bring to their careers.

This online event is being offered as part of an East Midlands collaboration with other local university Careers & Employability Services, offering tailored events and opportunities to students/ graduates with disabilities, including those who are neurodivergent.

What to expect:

  • Personal stories of resilience and success from neurodiverse professionals as well as the barriers they had to overcome.
  • Strategies for overcoming challenges in the workplace.
  • Insights into the unique strengths and perspectives of neurodiverse individuals.
  • Tips and advice for creating an inclusive and supportive work environment.

Format of the event:

There will be a brief introduction and then each panel member will present for 10 minutes, followed by the opportunity to ask questions.

This event is open to all NTU students as well as students from the following institutions; University of Nottingham, Loughborough University, University of Lincoln, Derby University, De Montfort University and Leicester University.
