Student experiences focus group – Mentoring

22nd April 2024, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

At the University of Lincoln, there are various opportunities to get involved in mentoring. We want to hear about your experiences – whether you have had a formal mentor or not!

Mentoring is a relationship in which a more experienced person helps to guide a less experienced person. Successful mentoring relationships can provide both you and your mentor with a chance to develop your skills and knowledge of a chosen area.

In this focus group, we will be collecting student feedback to help shape our mentoring options so they fit the needs of more students. This is your opportunity to feedback directly to your Careers & Employability service on how mentoring is offered.

We will present you with some of our plans for how we are aiming to conduct mentoring schemes going forward and we will be seeking feedback on these plans.

What will I gain from attending the session?:

  • Consulting experience working directly with the University of Lincoln
  • The opportunity to connect with other students at the University
  • Understanding of mentoring and the mentoring opportunities at the University
  • £10 Love2Shop voucher (Home Undergraduate students only due to source of funding)

Please note, due to the source of funding, you must meet at least one of the below groups to attend:
