Welcome Week Competition (Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)-
We will be running activities including a competition on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the Careers Centre from 10am- 4pm. Want to be in with the chance of winning one of the many £25 Students’ Union vouchers we’re giving away to start your fresher’s week just right?! All you need to do is drop by the Careers Centre between 10am-4pm and take part in a short quiz to be entered into the prize draw! Be quick to grab some freebies whilst they’re still available too! There’s no need to book this activity, simply just turn up!
How to get a Student Job Workshop (running daily)-
Need a part-time job to make some extra cash and gain some work experience? Look no further, we’re running daily ‘How to get a Student Job’ workshops throughout the week. So, come along to hear all about our exclusive job boards and how the Careers Service can help you with the application process. There’s no need to book, simply just turn up! Careers Health Check (Tuesday & Friday)-
You’ve chosen your university course – great! Have you thought about your career options and what you could do right away to prepare for good graduate jobs at the end? Employers and the Careers team strongly suggest thinking about this early, even if you only take baby steps. Come along to this Careers Health Check to kick-start thinking and preparing for life after university. Welcome to the Careers Service for International Students Workshop (Thursday 29th)-
Are you an international student? Come along to this workshop running from 11-12pm where you’ll discover the functions the Careers Service does! You’ll find out how it supports students to prepare for the world of work, what the UK labour market is like, and how to access all the workshops and fairs that take place. The session will also introduce you to online tools you can access to help build your CV and the University’s employability award: The Lincoln Award. There’s no need to book, just turn up! Part Time Jobs Fair (Thursday 29th)-
Looking for a flexible part-time job to fit around your studies? Drop into this jobs fair between 12-3pm in the Careers Centre and the Library to chat to local employers who are currently hiring- your shortcut to landing a part-time job! Also meet the campus Jobs team who have vacancies running throughout the year! No need to book, just turn up!
