Why should I do Lincoln Award Plus?
By completing one of our Lincoln Award’s, you should now have a good understanding of employability skills. Lincoln Award Plus will build on this learning and take your understanding and skills to the next level. Graduate labour market research tells us there is an employer demand for skills such as critical thinking and analysis, as well as skills in self-management such as active learning, resilience, stress tolerance and flexibility. This programme has been designed to meet the needs of the current and future labour market and support you in navigating your future career.

Assessment and Presentation
A 30-minute session with one of our careers staff members, where you will present for 10 minutes about what you have learnt during the Award. It’s advised that you mention all aspects of the Award and how the skills you learnt have benefited you. We recommend that you use a PowerPoint presentation and include relevant visuals such as your strengths profile results and interview review tool.
This will be marked against our Lincoln Award Plus assessment criteria, focusing on the quality of your content and how you deliver it. The rest of the session will be an informal chat about your career aspirations, and we’ll offer you advice on how the careers team can further support you in those areas. You will then receive a feedback sheet with a breakdown of your score within five working days of your assessment. These assessment sessions are bookable via your pathway.
