What is the Lincoln Award Global?
The Lincoln Award Global, a new pathway of the Lincoln Award, is suitable for all University of Lincoln students who are interested in exploring global career opportunities.
If you identify with one (or more) of the following career aims, this award will help you to develop employability skills in a global context:
- International students: understanding career options in the UK
- International students: discovering the graduate labour market in your home country
- Students with ambitions to travel and work around the world
- UK (home) students wishing to work in the UK, but improve knowledge and skills in order to work in a global workplace

Why should I do the Lincoln Award Global?
The Lincoln Award Global is perfect for students who want to explore ideas about global skills, the global mind-set and intercultural communication. The purpose of this programme is to allow you to develop employability skills and will allow you to undertake activities specifically to do with global working. This could be thinking about how you will immerse yourself in a different culture in the future, or how you will be able to work with people from around the world in your home country. After each element of the Award has been completed, you will consider how you have used the following Global Skills, and how they will help you in your future career.

How do I start and complete the Lincoln Award Global?
To get started with the Lincoln Award Global you need to attend an Induction Event; these run frequently and are bookable in the Careers Centre or online. At the Induction you will receive information about all activities as well as an evidence booklet to complete.
When you leave the induction, your first activity will be completing the Careers and Employability Online Skills Assessment.
When can I do it?
The Lincoln Award Global is open to all students currently studying at the University of Lincoln. You can start the award at any point and must complete it before graduation. It is highly advisable to start the award as soon as possible to ensure you secure a place at the compulsory sessions required.
