Final Year Career Launch

Are you a final year student feeling unsure about life after University? Can you not face thinking about your next steps? Have you been so busy that you feel you’re running out of time to plan?

If this is you, don’t panic – we have a package of recommended steps that will get you to where you need to be, facing your future with confidence.

The Final Year Career Launch can be completed at your own pace in your last few months at university and we’ll be here to support you through every step. Its broken down into 3 achievable steps – exploring your options, developing your skills and networks, and applying these towards your next dream opportunity.

Complete the 3 points within this section to explore your options, reflecting on your strengths, likes and dislikes.

✔ Start the Lincoln Award – explore your strengths and develop your skills

The Lincoln Award supports you to develop and learn how to demonstrate your skills to make you more employable. Its easy to start and complete the award; you can complete it all online if you prefer, and you may already be doing some of the activities that count towards the award! ✔ Discover your career options

If you’re unsure of what career path you want to take, visit our Careers Advice by Course page as a starting point for ideas.

✔ Access tools to start your career planning

You may have generated some career ideas from our advice pages but remember lots of career paths don’t require a specific degree. So, if you’re still feeling confused, access careers guidance support by booking onto a ‘Explore Careers Ideas Workshop’. These workshops take place every month. Here are the upcoming workshop dates and times. Simply click on the date you’d like to book:

By completing this section, you’ll discover insider-insight about industries and sectors that interest you, start to build your networks within these areas and begin to boost your CV by gaining experience.
