Georgia’s Graduate Story

Georgia is a Psychology graduate who has secured a position on a Frontline Graduate Scheme.
She has shared her experience of using the Careers & Employability service:

The Careers Service listened to my interests and goals and suggested I apply for the Frontline scheme which has led me to a rewarding job opportunity. The careers service directed me to websites and materials where I could further prepare for each stage of the Frontline selection process. During drop- in sessions they explained to me what is expected to happen in each stage and gave me advice (such as interview questions) which increased my confidence. They always encouraged me to keep in contact in order to support me through the next stage. The careers service allowed me to feel supported, prepared and able to achieve my goals through each stage of this process.

I would suggest planning ahead for your career at the beginning of your final year. This will give you time to find the right role for you and explore the opportunities available to you. It is difficult to know what to do after university, but discussing this with someone at the careers service will help you explore your goals and motivations. I would also suggest using the services available you online in order for you to feel the most prepared and supported for application/ recruitment processes.
