NFTS Careers Clinic: VFX for Film, Television, and Games

October 12 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

The National Film and Television School (NFTS) specialises in MA, Postgraduate Diploma and Diploma courses that offer students a great balance of practical and theoretical studies. This series of sessions offers students insight into how they can establish a career in the film, television or games industry after their degree, how their skills are adaptable and what potential career pathways are available to them.

Visual effects (VFX) are everywhere – from Marvel blockbusters and immersive content, to commercials, television programmes, games and independent movies. This session will discuss the career paths available in VFX, including CG 3D and compositing, and how to get there. There is no typical route into this area as the role encompasses so many adaptable skills!

Join Head of VFX at NFTS, Ian Murphy and NFTS Digital Effects alumni to hear about what it is like working in the industry, learn about their pathway and how this could be a great career choice.

This event would be of particular interest to Animation and Visual Effects, Computer Science, Film and Television Studies, Film Production, Media Production and Product Design students.
