Are you:

  • Thinking of choosing or taking an academic module that which requires work experience ?
  • Wanting to undertake some work experience/voluntary work to increase your employability skills?
  • Wanting to know what work experience you will need to apply for postgraduate study programmes?

If so then the ‘Golden Ticket’ Event is for you!

In many sectors, recruiters are looking for 'work-ready' graduates with clear evidence of job specific skills in addition to high level graduate attributes. It is really important to remember that the experiences that you gain outside of your academic studies are just as valuable as your degree.

Join us in the Engine Shed from 3:00 - 5:00 pm for our Work Experience Golden Ticket Event, organised in conjunction with the Work Experience HUB.

  • Get advice and information on the wide range of work experience opportunities that are available to you whilst you are studying in Lincoln.
  • Find out about the variety of post graduate programmes available.
  • Be in with a chance of winning a selection of golden ticket employability prizes!

Present at the event will be representatives from a number of organisations, to include Lincolnshire County Council, NACRO, Services from the prison, health, teacher training and adult social care to name but a few.

There will also be representation from a number of relevant post graduate programmes, such as social work, teacher training, occupational therapy and more. Staff will be available to advise you about what you need to do to access these courses and also what work experience they would like to see on an application.

Grab yourself one of our goody bags, and if yours contains a golden ticket, the lucky holder will receive one of a number of prizes available at this event.

A quiet area will also be available for those who may prefer to chat in a less crowded environment.

So if you are thinking of choosing a work experience elective, need work experience for a mandatory module or just want to boost your CV, this is the event for you.
