British Steel Logo

British Steel is a world leader in the production of long steel products (rail, sections, special profiles and rods) with facilities across the UK and France. The new British Steel was created in 2016 when Greybull Capital bought the Long Products Europe business of Tata Steel.

Our range of high quality steel products go into a number of markets around the world. We also have a network of metal centres and service centres across the UK, Ireland and overseas enabling us to serve our customers quicker and more efficiently.

British Steel has its head office in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, and this is also where the iron and steel is manufactured. We have experienced, passionate, hard-working, ambitious and dedicated employees but are always on the lookout for new talent.

There are a fantastic range of opportunities including placements (summer and year-long)  and graduate schemes. Disciplines we recruit to include engineering, manufacturing, technical, business, finance, IT, logistics, communications, HR, sales, procurement and environment.

In 2016-17 we had almost 5,000 applications for our trainees schemes. We are here to help you get ahead of the competition! CV, application, video interview, assessment centre and on-scheme advice to help you ‘Get a job with us’.
