Barclays Life Skills: Financial Independence

February 18 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Planning for financial independence lesson

Be more familiar with different types of taxation. Recognise additional work benefits that companies offer beyond salary.

Feel more confident about living independently and saving for the future.

From Monday 11th February to Friday 22nd February, the Careers and Employability team will be running a series of interactive workshops designed to tackle uncertainty about the future. Searching for graduate careers can be daunting, and times you may feel overwhelmed by so many choices. However, each workshop over the course of the programme is designed to help with one particular area of employability: from personal confidence, to business acumen. The workshops can also be counted towards completion of the Lincoln Award. Students who participate in three or more ‘Breaking Barriers’ workshops will receive a signed certificate and be entered into a prize draw for a £50 amazon voucher! For more information on each session, come into the Careers Centre or email Natalie Poole, npoole@lincoln.ac.uk
