Challenges Abroad Presentation

21st March 2018, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Please come along to find out more about volunteering overseas and the various projects we offer.

At Challenges Abroad, we create opportunities for students who want to expand their horizons and make a lasting positive impact overseas. We are committed to socially responsible travel and our trips support our registered charity, the FutureSense Foundation, to make a genuine, sustainable difference to communities across the globe.

The Challenges Abroad programmes are much more than travel, much more than volunteering – they are a gateway for students to join a global community of people who care. We help students become true Global Citizens, with a greater awareness of global development issues. By participating in one of our programmes, students can get involved with sustainable development projects at a grassroots level, giving them an opportunity to understand and value diversity, organise and take part in activities which benefit the wider community, and see themselves as citizens of the world.

Our programmes are designed to be mutually beneficial to both the local communities and our participants. As fundraising Challenges, our trips provide students with the perfect opportunity to fundraise for an international development charity, while also giving them the chance to make a positive difference to the lives of the less fortunate. Alongside this, we also give participants the experience of a lifetime as they visit the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, see the splendour of the Taj Mahal, or marvel at the view from the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
