The Careers team can guide and support you with all aspects of student and graduate recruitment and engagement. We act as a central point of contact to access the specialist facilities at the university and the specialist knowledge and abilities of our academics and students.

This section of the website is devoted to live Q&A sessions with our own advisers or external employers. We will promote the Live Q&A’s in advance and you can also access session archives below.

Yes, the team have a lot of experience in student and graduate recruitment and are willing to help in all aspects to support you with your recruitment needs.

Do you have any advertising criteria/policy?

Yes, we have our Vacancy handling policy and all employers must adhere to these. The Careers & Employability Service reserve the right to refuse to advertise, sometimes without justification.

I am not sure how to write a job advert, can you help?

Yes, we can help with some key tips:

  • Ensure the job title reflects the role and aim to keep short but enticing!
  • Provide a good detailed paragraph for the job description to showcase the main elements of the role. Again, try to use wording to entice and encourage students or graduates to be excited about the role.
  • Give details about personal requirement, a bullet list of key competencies required, knowledge and experience helps to ensure you receive the right candidates for the role.
  • Include salary details if known.
  • Be specific about location of role.

The university has a range of multi functional rooms that we can offer as interview or psychometric testing facilities.

Conference Facilities

The university has a wide range of facilities that can be booked for conferences/ meetings. As a central point of contact this is something that as a careers service, we could assist you with.
