Work experience and volunteering

  • Attend our ‘How To Get Work Experience Through Internships, Placements and Volunteering’ workshop. This is a 1-hour live workshop to help you get started with searching for advertised internships, placements and volunteering roles and explore how to find non-advertised opportunities. Placements

  • Placements may be a compulsory part of a course or optional. They have different titles, such as ‘Placement’, ‘Professional Practice Year, and ‘Industrial Placement’. They often take place between the second and third year of a course. The length varies from a few months to a year.

Paid Internships (during studies or after graduation)

  • The UoL Talent internship programme is exclusively for Lincoln students and graduates and can be a great opportunity to gain relevant experience and propel you into your chosen career.  
  • Internships can be both part time and full time depending on the role and are largely based in and around the Lincolnshire area.  All internships are paid.

  • Make sure you use the ‘Opportunity Type’ filter to search for internships.  All UOL Talent Internships are advertised on CareerLinc and will have ‘University of Lincoln’s Internship Programme’ in the title.
