The Training Contract
We look for around 4-6 trainees to join our programme each year.
The training contract consists of a rotation of 4 x 6 month seats, all of which will usually be completed within the same office (York or Lincoln) but offer the opportunity to experience different areas of the business.
What are we looking for?
Whilst academic qualifications are important (a 2:1 degree being preferred) we are looking for well rounded candidates who can demonstrate a passion for working in law, excellent communication and customer service skills, commercial awareness and a strong determination to succeed. Team working is important as is the ability to work effectively alone whilst planning and prioritising your work.
Candidates who have gained additional skills and experience through alternative careers, work experience placements, part-time jobs, voluntary work or through hobbies and interests will also stand out, as will those with an interest in marketing/ business development.
We welcome applications from both law and non-law candidates however we do require all successful candidates to complete the GDL and/or LPC before joining.
