Job description

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) are part of a national Government-supported initiative, enabling recent graduates (KTP Associates) to work on exciting and challenging projects in partnerships between business and universities.

LCF is one of the top 10 law firms in Yorkshire and Humber in the latest Legal 500. It is UK based, in four locations across Northern England - Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and Ilkley- employing 73 specialist lawyers. LCF provides legal expertise in regard to Disputes, Personal, Corporate, Commercial, Property with a number of niche markets, combining legal services for specialist sectors: Healthcare/Dental Sector, Charity Sector, Farming, Agriculture & Rural Businesses, Food, Sports, Art and Heritage. Supported by a team of academic experts from the Business School, University of Huddersfield, you will be based at the LCF company premises in Bradford.

This established KTP between the University of Huddersfield's Business School and LCF Law has 11 months remaining. The KTP project is focused on service re-design, to enable the management team within LCF to achieve their ambitious profitability targets. You will contribute towards the transformation of their legal services by creating and embedding 'systems thinking' and developing bespoke learning solutions through 'value optimisation'. Reporting directly to the company's Managing Partner, you will be responsible for leading this high profile project, with significant support from senior staff at both LCF Law and the University of Huddersfield.

An honours degree (1st or 2.1) in IT, business, or appropriate engineering discipline along with a good understanding of operations management concepts is essential. Drive and determination to deliver and embed new knowledge into LCF is required. Working experience in a relevant field is desirable.
