Using Intellectual Property (IP) To Boost Your Business Idea or Start-Up!
February 28 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This workshop will take an engaging and interactive look at the role of IP and its ability to boost your start-up plans or enhance the potential in your business ideas! Whilst IP is not relevant for all businesses, for some it can be essential to starting-up, securing funding/investment and ultimately underpinning commercial success. The session will introduce attendees to IP rights in the context of start-ups and those developing new products and services. It will cover the five main types of IP rights and explain their uses and benefits, types of rights covered will include copyrights, confidentiality, patents, trademarks and designs. The session will also challenge attendees to put IP into a business context through exercises and Q&A discussion.
The event will be delivered by ProspectIP, it will provide practical hands-on advice, relevant examples and useful case studies to enable attendees to put IP in the context of their business activities.
