Terms & Conditions, Contracts and Employment – What’s The Point Of It All? Surely I Can Get Away With It For Now?

March 8 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

In this session you will hear from two Solicitors about the benefits of engaging with professional advisors such as a law firm when starting a new business.
When starting out one of the most daunting things can be taking on your first members of staff. They will look at the pros and cons of taking on self-employed contractors vs PAYE employees. This has been a prevalent source of debate in the press recently, with the likes of Uber and Addison Lee being taken to Employment Tribunals by supposed self-employed contractors suing for their employment law rights.
They will also take a look at the pros and cons of setting up and running your business as a limited company before moving on to the advantages of a robust set of terms & conditions and what questions you should be asking yourself before you sign up to that first ever ‘big win’ contract.
