Careers & Employability

Careers Centre Opening Times

Our service is based in The Careers & Employability Centre on Level 1 of the Students’ Union and is open 10am – 3pm, Monday – Friday. We offer a range of support including one to one impartial careers guidance interviews, drop in careers clinics and careers education workshops.

This section of the website is devoted to live Q&A sessions with our own advisers or external employers. We will promote the Live Q&A’s in advance and you can also access session archives below.

Careers Clinics

Careers clinics run 1-3pm Monday to Friday at the Careers and Employability Centre. You can attend on a drop in basis for quick queries and feedback on CVs, personal statements, applications for jobs and postgraduate study and job search advice.

Campus Jobs

Campus Jobs is the university’s Student Employment Agency and manages all our on campus student job roles. Campus Jobs offers students the flexibility of taking up work around their studies with no ongoing commitment. Roles are available in a variety of areas and departments across campus. Campus Jobs is open 10am – 1pm in The Careers & Employability Centre.

Careers Guidance

Careers & Employability Advisers offer impartial careers guidance in one to one appointments. Advisers are aligned to a particular college and can offer bespoke, subject and industry specific advice. Our Adviser for International specialises in supporting international students. Appointments can be booked at The Careers & Employability Centre.

Lincoln Award

All students can take part in our employability award which supports, enhances and recognises extra-curricular activity. The Careers & Employability Centre is the first port of call for signing up for the award and registering for Lincoln Award activities and courses.
